About Our Text Message Program

Dr. Ben Inc. operates Beni, a healthcare communication assistant used by participating healthcare providers to support patient care coordination and follow-up between visits.

Beni sends care-related text messages and phone calls on behalf of a patient's healthcare provider to support ongoing care and communication.

How the Program Works

Patients who have provided consent may receive non-promotional text messages from Beni on behalf of their healthcare provider. These messages may include:

  • Requests to initiate or schedule care-related phone calls
  • Notifications related to care check-ins or follow-up
  • Messages supporting care coordination between visits

Messages are related only to healthcare services and are not used for marketing or promotional purposes.

Enrollment and Consent

Patients enroll in the Beni text messaging program by completing a web-based consent flow hosted by Beni and presented on behalf of their healthcare provider.

  • Consent is provided by affirmatively agreeing to receive care-related text messages and phone calls
  • No text messages are sent unless and until this consent is completed
  • Consent is recorded and stored by our system and may be withdrawn at any time

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on individual care needs.

Typically, patients receive no more than a few messages per month.

Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan.

Beni does not charge for text messages, but your mobile carrier may apply charges.

Privacy and Messaging Limitations

Beni uses standard text messaging and phone calls to support care coordination.

Standard text messaging may not be fully secure.

Patients should avoid sharing detailed medical information via text message and should contact their healthcare provider directly for clinical questions or concerns.

Emergency Communications

Beni text messaging is not for emergency use.

For medical emergencies, call 911 immediately.

For urgent but non-emergency medical needs, contact your healthcare provider directly.

How to Opt Out

You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message.

Opt-out requests are processed immediately.

How to Get Help

For assistance, reply HELP to any message or visit www.beni.health.
